Auckland, January 8. The unrestricted sales of poison was referred to at tho inquest 011 Joseph Breeso yesterday. . Tho Coroner (Mr. Grosham) explained t<? tho jury that tho tin of cyanido of potassium found alongside deceased contained sufficient poison to kill 200 people. The poison, ho said, was tho deadliestknown and would kill a man insido two minutes, yet it could he purchased for Is. 6d. a tin from pretty well any chemist or storekeeper. A juryman suggested the expediency of having so. deadly a poison placed .under restriction, but the Coroner explained that it was used iu largo quantities in mining operations. "If you have any influence with the member for tho district. 111 which you reside," the Coroner added, "lot him try to have tho sale restricted,, and seo what luck ho has."
