At the desire of the- Masterton club, a handicapper.'for its open event at the forthcoming carnivalon Anniversary Day was appointed, tlie. work devolving on Mr. W. ;B. Smith. The club's programme was referred to a snb-committce, consisting of Messrs. Ludwig and Anderson, for consideration. The Secretary, was instructed to. write to the City Council . emphasising,-, the . contiuued unsatis-factory-''stato"of the Te. Aro Baths, as instanced by the recent • accidents, which have occured at "the Baths, and urging on ■ tlie Council, the advisability of proceeding with the proposed-improvements as early as possible..

In. proposing a liearly vote of thanks to Mr. George 13. Sadd,. who is retiring from 'tho Centre, tho Chairman (Mr. Ludwig)' eulogised the work done by Mr.' Sadd.
