A COMPLETE RESCUE. Morocco, January 1. Tho French hospital transport Nivo was wrecked on tho Moroccan coast. A rocket apparatus saved all those aboafd at tho time of tho disaster, numbering 240.
The Housatonic is a steel screw tjiree-man-ted steamer of 2575 tons net (4041' gross), 100 A 1 at Lloyds, arranged to carry petrolouin in bulk. She was built at the Naval Construe tion Works, Barrow, in 1893, is owned by the Anglo-American. Oil Company (J. H. Usmar, manager), and is registered at London. Her dimensions were: Length 3471 ft., breadth 45.6 ft., depth 27.2 ft. The Maidens (or Hulin) Rocks are off the east coast of County Antrim, and have lighthouses visible respectively 1.1 miles and 11 miles. They are surrounded by dangerous reefs.
