Leigh Ibbs, arrived in Auckland. on Sunday from Sydney to com- ; monce their tour of tho Dominion. Madame Butt and Mr. llumford are quite well, and aro looking forward "with great pleasure to their New Zealand season, which is expected to bo as "brilliantly successful as was the • caso in . tho Australian capitals, where | twenty-four concerts have been givou to en•thusiostic audiences. In Melbourne and Sydney nine concerts wore given in each city, and no fewer than 60,000 people heard ' Madiuno Butt and Mr. llumford sing in those ' two cities alone. The success of the tour, according to roporte, lias' exceeded all anticipations, and records have been established as far as the number of concerts given and the attendances, arc concorned.
