Tho annual competitions arranged by the Wellington Polo Club will begin at Miramar on January 20, and aro expected .to produce closo finishes.' Two troplnos will lie' played for. One was given •by Mr. Martin Chapman, and was won last year by the. Jlanawatu team, captained by Mr. W. Strang. In addition to that trophy there will be the first competition for a 50 guinea sup presented bv Mr. G. G. Stead. The New Zealand Polo Tournament will bo held at Miramar in March. •
