During tho hoaring of tho cases the Dairy Inspector, in answer to questions by tho Magistrate, stated that he had 600 sheds to inspect, and ho had one assistant. In connection with tho last case, it was probably four months sinco his previous visit. The Magistrate: " A placo might got mighty bad in four months." Continuing, Mr. Bishop remarked that tho regulations of tho Act would have to bo complied with by dairymen. Broaches of the Act di.l not very often come before the Court, and tho natural inferonco was that tho dairymen were satisfactorily fulfilling tho requirements of tho Act. It was absolutely essential for tho protection of tho public that tho milk supply was kept pure, and when any future charges of selling impure milk camo before him, and ho was satisfied that such milk was a menace to tho health of tho community, ho would deem it his duty to inflict • t a vory sovero penalty.
