Robert Henderson, aged 22 years, of Ohafcea,..Bulls, who was drowned at Parewamii beach, yesterday whilst bathing in the surf, was a son of Mr. R .Henderson, of Ohakea, \ and was secretary .to the dairy factory at Bulls.He was a noted cyclist.; in - road racing, 'and was widely known and highly respected. ' SUICIDE AT NEW BRIGHTON. . , Christchurch, January 6. .An' inquest was hold this afternoori touching, the death' of Thomas Godfrey Bezett, wliosDjbody found on tho beach at Now Brighton on Sunday morning. The deseased's camping mate, Frederick George Gardner, said that : Bozctt 'wont to New Brighton on Friday last, and he had then a gun in his possession. Ho behaved during his stay at New Brighton in an oxcitablo manner, as if ho wero drunk. Ho informed witness ho was in trouble at Temuka, and that ho was leaving tho Dominion on Monday. ■■■ He was. peculiar in his manner on Saturday night, but he was not undor the influence of liquor. He talked a lot to himself. He had previously told witness about a friend who had committed suicide. Tho jury returned a verdict that tho deceased committed suicide whilst of unsound mind. ' ; INQUEST AT DUNEDIN. ■ Duncdin, January 0. At tbe inquest on 1 tho body of Donald C. Ogilvy, found dead in tho Glasgow Restaurant on Saturday night, the jury returned a verdiot that death was due to suffocation by 'illing out of bed when in a state of intoxiA middtaaged man named James Calvin, employed on tho Hutt Railway Duplication Works, had his right leg fractured yesterday- morning, through being struck by a miialhbouldor, which,rolled down an embankment. Ho was removed to the. hospital.
