As. a wind-up of tho holidays another most enjoyablo' picnic was held at tho Wninui Reservoir last Thursday. A number, of the visitors drove out in a large brake followed ,by many, young people on bicycles. As it was a delightful day both those who drove and those who rode enjoyed the trip as they did the scramble afterwards up tho hill. Amongst: the picnickers were Mr. and Mrs. Callander, Mr. and Mrs. Foster, Mr. and Mrs. . 'Stevens,. Mr. and Mrs.. Mirams, and the Missos Humfrey, Hayward, Marshall, Buckhurat, Lukin, Johnston, Barmid, and Foster, and Messrs.-Riley, Samuels,' Fulton, -Mason, Stuart-Forbes, 'Rose, Lainp, and Mirams. After a very ■ pleasant day in the open air the visitors roturned to the Hutt at about' eight o'clock. ,

; The Misses Sladdeji : gave a very .pleasant tennis party ,at their .mother's residence in Petone on. Saturday afternoon, which was attended by the tennis enthusiasts of tho Hutt.

' Mr. and. Mrs. Barraud and family, have gone to Muritai for a few weeks.

: Dr. and Mrs. Adams roturned to Welling-ton-last night after a fortnight's absence.

! Miss Lucy Atkinson,, : at 'latest news from Home,, was staying with friends at the Riviera, and hopod to -go on to southern Italy.
