Tho Tecord for weird: matrimonial complications which aro possible under tho laws of many American States has been broken by a daring resident of Manlius, 'Neiv York, who has married his grandmother. , ihis feat is the climax to a romantic plot •for- tho possession of a fortuno. ■ The "grandson bridegroom ; " Mr. Thomas Hugh Allison,-, is a : businesslike young man, with ' strong sporting proclivities. ' Until Beyon years ago he and his sister were joint heirs to tho estate of their grandfather, Dr. Buifum, of Rochester, New York, a very wealthy and irascible physician. I>r. Bnffurn survived his wife and children, and ho had'frcauent quarrels with his grandchildren. He disinherited,' Miss Allison when she married a barber, and finally cut off his grandson as well because he* kept racehorses. He'then announced his intention of marrying again in ordor to prevent Mr. Allison from getting his monoy. Mr. Allison thereupon conceived the plan of, marrying his sweetheart, a girl under twenty, to his grandfather. She made Dr. Buifum's acquaintance, and finally,' in 1900, when ho was oighty'years old, he proposed marriage. The girl promptly accepted. Dr. Buifum died last year, leaving everything to his young wife. ."Then," said Mr. Allison recently, "the young lady whom I called 'grandmother' waitod the 'conventional' time, and we were married; "My wife has insisted that we give half of the estate to n iv sister, and this has been done."
