• (from our special correspondent.) While passing through Stoney- Creek dis-. trict the other day I was agreeably : surprised to note tho advanced state of rape crops. The locality is apparently well adapted for , this, particular class of crop, and it is surprising that moro old-established farmers do not recognise the fact. Tho weather of late,, although exceptionally warm, has been punctuated by showers of rain, which, although not meeting with genoral approbation from thoso engaged in hay-making, havo' had a benoficial effect upon : the feed. , - \
