To-day (Boxing Day) will bp, as usual, a great day for sports and outdoor amusements. Tho second day's events of tho- Manawntu Baniiiß Club's Summer * Mooting will bo held at i'almorston North, and meetings will also bo hold atToraußahau and Lower Valley (Martinborough). The Hutt Valley Trotting Club's meeting will commenco at l'etone. A two days' cricket match, Now. Smith Wales teachers v. Wellington teachers, will commence on the Wellington ground at 10.30 a.m. The I'etono regatta will bo another strong attraction to persons of sporting proclivities. Tho Cntliolic picnic will bo held nt Lower Jlntt. .... '■ Band' and fireworks programmes will take ptaco at Bellevuo Gardens, Lower Hutt, Mason's Gardens are another popular resort. The s.s. Victoria will make a special excursion to l'icton. Harbour excursions will be run to Day's Hay, fieatoun, and Karaka Day. Iji ttio evening Jlr. J. C. Williamson's newmusical comedy, "The 131uo Moon," will commenco its season at tho Opeib House. West's Pictures will be on view in tho Town Hall, there will bo a special holiday programme nt "Wonderland," nml Messrs. Puller and Sons will give their entertainment nt the Theatre. Royal. Abomah, tho giantess, will also be on exhibition in Maunys Stij---^
