'A cricket match", New South Wales' teach-, ersv: Wellington teachers, will be played on the Wellington College ground. Mason's Gardens are another popular resort. Williamson's now' musical, comedy, " The Blue Moon," will commence, its season at the Opera House, West's pictures will bo on view in the Town Hall, tnero will be.a special holiday programme ' at "Wonderland," and Messrs. ' ' '• ■ SATURDxVY, DECEMBER 28. On Saturday thoro will be a race meeting at Ashhurst. The Hutt Valley Trotting Club's meeting will bo concluded at Petone. ■' ' ■, The inter-provincial cricket match, Wellington v. Otago, will be continued. A Chrißtiaii Students' Union Conference will bo commenced at Trontham. NEW YEAR'S DAY. On Wednesday, New Year's Day, tho Palmerston Racing Club, Hawko's Bay Jockey Olub, Rangitikei, Stratford, and Wairarapa Racing Clubs will hold meetings. An intor-provincial crick-et-match will be commenced on the Basin Reserve between Wellington and Canterbury. ■ Tho Wellington Lawn Tennis Association's tournament will commence at-Day's Bay. Harbour and other excursions will bo run aa on Boxing Day.
