■If wo want to educate that sturdy, stolid, unresponsive- thing, tho British public, a scheme has to bo mildly diluted with pleasure, masked by brilliant pictures, like the hitter pill wo hide in our children's jam. AVe bavo compulsory schooling, of course, but, as a nation, wo are not, and do not want to be, educated. —"Bystander!"
