HOSPITAL BOARD.
Messrs. J. Godbor (Chairman), R. 0. Kirk, F. T. Moore, -C. J. Crawford, and J. W. M'Ewan. wore present at the. first meeting of the Wellington' District Hospital Board licld since the recent election. Tho matron 'of tho Otaki-Sanatorium reported , that four patients had been discharged, and. one had been admitted since last meeting. , Thcro wore twenty-two patients under treatment. The Chief Inspector~of Hospitals (Dr. Vajintino) had paid a visit to tho Sanatorium, and had expressed satisfaction with the manner in which tho institution, was being conducted. Ton patients hod . been' admitted, and nine discharged from the Otaki Hospital during. November. Tho AVoHington Dental Association's proposals regarding the .treatmont of tho teeth of the poor, came up for further consideration, members boing unanimous as to the import? : ance of the matter. As it is proposed .tbnt the scheme should be the basis of a dental: branch of the Hospital, tho matter was re- 1, ferrod to tho Wellington Hospital Trustees >| for favourable consideration. •• . •-.
