A. largo ' one-story, wooden building at North-East -Valley, occupied by. Blissard and M'Vcar, sash and door manufacturers, carrying, an extensive stock, was burned down at ten last night. Thero was no water supply. The insurances are:—Blissard and M'Vear: In the Guardian Assurancq Office, £500 (of which £75 is on the building, £175 on the gtock, and £150 machinery and £100 on the timber). .

The Union Hat ! Company had its machinery end stock insured in the Atlas Insurance Office for £350.
