MR. FOWLDS IN MASTERTON.
(FROM OUT. SI'ECUI, COKItESrON'DENT. Masterton, December 12. Tlidi Hon., G. Fowlds, IMinistor for Justico anil I'liblic Health, arrived in Masterton last , night from Tatyapo; accompanied by Mr. ; Crow, private secretary. This morning ho was shown over the District 3cliool, and later in the afternoon ho visited Masterton's chief show places," and inspected tho site of the proposed Seddon Memorial Technical School. He promised in the matter that tho Government would assist in the object, hut would hot commit himself'to' any specified amount. Mr. Fowlds was entertained at the Hospital • function, and'later in tho evening at tho school social. He is to return to Wellington by the first train to-morrow morning, in order' to attend ; tho Cabinet meeting, which is to consider situation caused through the destruction of t|ie Parliamentary Btiild- , inga by fire!
