This clause, it, might bo montionod, provides, that tho question aS to whether tho half-holiday should bo observed on Wednesday or Saturday niny bo settled by ballot if ton per cent, of tho ratepayers so desiro. It was decided that, prior to tho dato on. which tho holiday is noxt fixed, tho requisite number of signatures be obtained to nomand a ballot. A long discussion took placo on a motion as to the advisability of establishing a workers' paper, and ovontually tho matter was loft in tho hands of tho Management Committee, with instructions to report turthor to the Counoil.
