HARTON EXTENSION. Yesterday afternoon was a red-letter day, for .the .township, of Marlon, as the extension of tho town, to the railway station was mads possible by the sale of the Marton Extension proporty. Very many residents of the district had journeyed to Wellington to bo present at the sale, conducted most successfully by Messrs, Harconrt and Co: in their auction rooms, T.ambton Quay, the room boing crowded, and bidding throughout being of the briskest.
