The stewards of the Hutt Valley Trotting Club hold a mooting at Potono "on Tuesday ovoning, Mr. 0. S/ Watkins, president of tho club, in the chair. The secretary (Mr. It. W. Short) reported that satisfactory nominations had noon roceived, totalling 177, and including a largo number of Canterbury trotters." The Racecourse" Committeo reported that the track had been topdressed, and was now in fino order." On the committee's recommendation, it was decided to enlargo the iawn and effect additions to tho totalisator house, in view of tiio mcroascd attendance expected on Boxing Day. It was resolved, to issue licenses to bookmakers at a foe of £10 por day (including a clork). Tho president,'. With Messrs, Goo. Cudby and R. S. Smith, were appointed i* protest committee, and Messrs. S. W. liurridgo, John Sharp, and H. E. Ryder ware appointed patrol stewards, and will watch the running and'report to the stewards. HANDICAPS.
