From a photograph of tho burning building taken at 4.30 a.m., from Charlotte Street. It will ho noted that the lire has taken eliargo of the whole of tho centro of tho building fronting Sydney Street. At this timo it 'was converting into ashes the Chamber of the House of Representatives, and tho Legislative Council Chamber. Tho direction in which the smoko is travelling shows tho wind blowing away from tho library, which is housed 111 that portion ot the building to the right looking at the picture. A later picture shows tho whole of the left wing of the mam building completely demolished..
