Ncaring its conclusion, tho inter-Stato cricket match between South Australia and New South Wales lias reached a most interesting stage. lu the first innings South Australia mado 3-19, to which Now South Wnles replied with 276, whereupon South Australia piled up 519, leaving Now South Wales 593 to -make to win. Following the example of South Australia; New South Wales has got over tho five centurics in tho second innings, and now, with one wicket , to fall, is 21 runs below tho covotod total. Tho chief scorors in New South Wales' second innings are: Trumper, 134; Noble, 51; Waddy, 49; Carter, 125; Hopkins, 62; Kelloway (not out), 31. At the drawing of stumps New South Wales had lost nine wickets for 572. Sydney, December 11. Tlioro was much interest in the opening match of tho Fijian cricketers' tour, which was largely attended. The Fijians met /a strong metropolitan combination, who, for the loss of nine wickets, put up a score of 411:—'White, 109; Bubb, 100. Tho Fijians' bowling was smart, and their fielding came somowhat as a surprise to tho spectators. ELEVEN FOR SATURDAY'S TEST. (Rec. Dec. 11, 11.46-p.m.) ' Sydney, December 11.
