CONFERENCE OF THE STUDENT CHRISTIAN UNION.

Arrangements are now well in hand for the Summer Conference of the Australasian Student Christian Union, which is to l)e held at Trentham from December 28 till January 2. Tho delegates, who- will comjs from all the educational centres of tho Dominion, will, reach Trenthmu cu , the aitcrnoon of December 27. The men will go under canvas, the women being accommodated in boarding-houses, while thfi speakers will stay at the hotel. Tho mornings and evenings will be occupied with meetings of a business, educational, and devotional nature. The aftornoous will be doyoted to out-of-door rocreations. An interesting programme has been arranged, and the speakprs include tho Bishop of Wellington (Dr. Wallis), tho Kovs. I Jolly (Palmerston North), J. J. North, A. Dowdney, J. It. Glasson, and T. H. Sprott (Wellington), J. D. Russell (Petone), A L. HansoU (Karon), and .Mr. W. Gray, of tho Wellington Training College. The Kov. W I). M'Laren, of Great lintain, will .be piosent, and will probably take part. . ThOi Conference will break up on the morning of January 3. on which day Mr. D. M. Lyall, the Travelling Secretary, will leavo for Australia by the Mahcno, in order .to tako' part in a similar conferoneo at Mount Barker, S.A., which begins on January 11.
