Perry, who has had a long cxpcrioncc on the, West Coast end in English coal mines, visited tho Mauricovillo coal deposits on Saturday. -Ho coneiders tlio prospects highly encouraging. The samples obtained of the best coal in tbo new.seam at Mauriceville lie considers will be quite ecjiinl to Coalbrookdalo. Mr. Perry is also'satisfied that little 'difficulty will be in finding thd necessary capital 'to develop tho deposits, the valiie'of which, he declares, lias hitherto been greatly underestimated. The coal previously obtained, and genorally considered _of indifferent quality and practically of little value, Mr. Perry says is quite equal, if not superior, to Mnkau coal.
