Luncheon to Lady Mills. Lady Ward gave a luncheon-party yesterday, in honour of Lady Mills, who has been in Wellington sineo v\'ednesday. J'hc table was charmingly decorated with yellow gallardias, and pale green tinselled gauze, and the.menu cards formed a novel feature,; oacli being held in tho beak of a. little chicken. After lunch the guests wero taken to tho billiard-room, where by means or a magnificent gramophone, they heard songs by Mclba and Caruso. Lady Ward wore , a cream voilo skirt and blouso of cream chiifon taffetas, trimmed with handsome lace; Miss Ward was in a pretty white silk frock; Lady Mills wore a gown of violet voile, trimmed with laco of ' the same colour, a violet hat-'trimmed with' roses, and one of the new draped veils; Mrs. Hislop, black silk, and a toquo trimmed with small heliotrope-coloured roses; -drs. W. A'. Kennedy, black voile; Sirs. Walter Nathan, black and white striped silk;' Mrs. David Nathafi, pink radium, trimmed with much, beautiful lace, picturo hat; Mrs. Stafford','• dark green coat and skijt, arid green toque; Miss Lcdingham, brown voile, and blue hat trimmed with brown. Weddings. Yesterday morning Miss Eugenio Christina Lennox, grand-daUghter of Mrs. Lennox, of Lovy Street, was married at St. Peter's Church to Mr. Stanley Broughton Pilcher, son of Mr. E. G. Pilcher. The bride, who wore a walking costunio of cream silk, with laco yoke and sleeves,'and whito hat trimmed with' tulle and, a long white plume, carried a shower bouquet of white roses, sweet peas, and maidenhair. Miss Morris, who acted as bridesmaid, wore a. palo blue frock and a navy-bluo hat with pink roses.. Mr. Gerald Lyon was best man. After tho ceromony a reception w«s held at the home of Mr. E. G. Pilcher in Wellington Terrace. - ' - ' Mr. David Nield, pastor of tho Church of God, in Wellington, was married 011 Wednesday; at Auckland to Miss R. A. Young, from -Pitcairn Island. Tho Rev. J.. A. Luxford porformcd tho ceremony. The . church was crowded with ; interested spectators, among wlior.. were, fourteen of the descendants of 1 the mutineers of the Bounty. • Mr. and Mrs. Nield .will resido in Wellington, but intend first to mako a tour of Australia and Tasmania.

At St. Thomas's Church, Newtown, on Wednesday afternoon, Miss K. Shaw was married to Mr; James Francis. The Rev. ,J. Walker performed the .ceremony. Misses J. M'Cluggage and, D. Hughes acted as bridesmaids, Mr. A. Trevor was best man, and Mr. J. Sinclair, groomsman. A reception was afterwards held at the Masonic Hall, Nowtown. At Trinity Church, Newtown, on Wednesday, Miss Elsio Mildred Edwards, sccoud daughter of Mr. George A. Edwards, of Wellington (late of was married to Mr. Ernest Reuben Baker, son of Mr. Andrew Baker, of Mudgee; N.S.W. Tho bride, who was given .away ,by her .father, .wore a pretty dross' of cream chiffon voile, trimmed with cream silk insertion, and tho usual veil and orange blossom'. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Queenie Kerr and Miss Mona Edwards. Mr. Asliton Edwards, brother of the bride, was best man. After the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. H. B. Mrs. F. B. Sharp is staying in Napier, where she is the guest of Mrs. Troutbeck. The Girls' Guild of, St. John's Church is getting up a bazaar in aid of tho Boys' Institute and a projected orphanage. Tho bazaar is to be opened on Thursday of next week. ■ •
