Sorions damage was done to tho oyster beds at Hervey Bay by largo fish, some of which attain a length or six feet. Investigation proves the fish to bo tho tachinotus ovatus, which is well-known on the coast, but which had not previously been known to grow larger than ton inches. The stomach of ono was filled with crushed shell and young oysters. '
