A Pahia'tiia resident claims to be receivr ing a return of £9 ;per month in eggs : from his poultry farm, writes our Wairarupa- correspondent. Askbd: if he was making..:.a profit, when one considered" the price;'or wheat,"he said, "Yes," and that :ho had bought wheat early in the season. 'A' sceptic, who has 'also gone into■ poultry, aud with disastrous results owing to various:reasons, considers-.'that- the - Pahiatiia resident has told an extraordinary story/ ,To make > £9 & month, with eggs at Is. a dozen, he has. to recoivo toll from his .hens at. the rate of-72 eggs a day,'including Sundays, which should really, bo days of,'rest for the; barnyard.'
