Tho yarding was far' in excess of requirements, tho result being a decline of fully 2s. 6d. to 3s. per head, with very slow sales. Best woolly wethers, 22s to 2-is.; extra, 275.; medium, 19s. 6d. to 20s Bd.; best shorn wethers, 17s. to 18s. Gd.; extra, to 215.; medium, 15s. Gd. to Ids. !)d.; inferior, 13s. 9d. to 1-Js. Gd.; best woolly ewes, 19s. to 225. 3d.; medium, 17s. to'lßs.; best shorn ewes, 16s! to 18s.; medium, 13s. to lis. Gd. Lambs; A large yarding, 340 being penned. This entry was also in excess of butchers' requirements, and good quality were down fully 2s. per head, while medium and inferior were easier by 3s. per head.. Best lambs; lGs. to 175.; extra, to 205.; medium, 13s. to'l4s. Gd.; inferior, 9s. Gd. to 10s. 9d. Pigs: A medium yarding of 130. All sorts sold well. Suckers, "lis. to 165."; slips, 235.-to 255.; stores, 28s. to 345.: porkers, 38s.'to 435.; small baconers, 51s. to 565.; large, 5Ss. to G2s.; choppers, to 91s. Pat cattle: A small yarding, numbering 157. Prices at the commencement wero easier than last week's,\but as the l sale progressed they hatdened, and. at the end were fully 15s. to 20s.' per head' better than those of a week ago. Messrs. Abraham an'd Williams, Masterton, report ns follows on their-stock sale held yesterday:—Only two lots of sheep came forward. In cattle we had an average yarding, but business was dull.
