An enterprising firm of motor repairers at Aylesbury have had painted in bold letters on the roof of their premises the words: "Aeroplanes Repaired."
The immense heap of fluor-spar, estimated to weigh a million tons, which accumulated at Allenheads, Northumberland, during the old mining days has, it is reported, been sold by Lord Allendale to Mr. Blackwcll, the head of tlio spar industry in Wcardale. The work of removal will occupy a largo number of men for.three years.
A novel fishing invention has been patented by Mr. B. Ashlock, n noted American angler. The contrivance consists of an elec-tric-light bulb suspended just below the float, and the inventor claims that the light attracts the iish for fifty yards around. In his first experiment ho caught eighly-two fish in two hours.
