Through' negTect 011 the part of' someone, there was a train accident, which, though grave enough, might easily have been attended by much more serious results. The scene of the accident was the Gracetown station. Here a goods train was standing, when a passenger train drow in, and, owing to the points having been left open, ran on to the wrong set of metals. There was no escape from a collision, and tho passenger train dashed into the standing one with considerable forco. Several of tho passengers wero injured. 'J'lie damage to the rolling-stock was considerable.
