RECEPTION TO SIR JAMES MILLS.
The arrangements for' "the luncheon and reception to Sir James Mills in the Town Hall on Thursday next are'-well (forward, and the executive committee, having decided to hold the function in the Concert.Chamber of the Town Hall (which will only sent" a limited number),-will ■ close the issue of tickets on Tuesday next, so' that gentlemen who intend being present' will require to make early application. The catering has been entrusted- to Mr. James Godbor, and tho musical programme to Mr. J. W. Minifie. The executive committee met yesterday' to arrange various details, and tho' following toast list was decided upon:—"The King, 11 "Our Guest," "Commercial and Shipping Interests," and "The Marine Department;"' Tho Right Hon. Sir J. G. Ward will take the chair, and the speeches to toasts will be entrusted to His Worship tho Mayor, Hon Dr. Findlay," HoiV.'-'J. A. Millar, Hon. C. M. Luke, M.L.C.,; : and Messrs. FT, Beauchamp 0. W. .Tones, and .1. ShirtclifTe.
