Oamaru, November 21, Glorious weather prevails for the forty-fifth annual exhibition of the North Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show— an important event, as it marks the opening of tho now ground, situated on the main north road, just outside tho town boundary. No effort has been spared by the officials to make the show successful. Entries closed with a total of 979, against 888 last year, and this notwithstanding; a marked decrease in the implement exhibits. The largest incroaso is in tho horso section—2S6 as against 219 draughts, hacks and hunters being specially numerous. In cattle, Shorthorns have risoii from 17 to 46, and sheep havl , rison from 188 to 197. In order to fittingly celebrate the opening of tho new ground a large invitation luncheon is being held to-day. In Ayrshire cattle, Messrs. W. Cowan, A. Gillies, and P. and A. Ireland wore siiccosslul exhibitors. In strong combing Morinos Messrs. W. Gardiner and A. M'Mastcr; in English Leicester, Messrs. T. S, Littlo and 1). Grant; in Border ■ Loiccstors, Mr. T. S. Littlo; in Shiopshires, Mr. Ft. Soth Smith; in Lincblns, the Now Zealand and Australian Land .Company (Moeraki), and 13. Soth Smith; in Corricdalos, J. Stringfellow's Executors and the New Zealand and Australian Land Company were the most successful exhibitors., i ■■ ■••-'■-
