HOSPITAL SUNDAY.

A meeting.,of. the Bandsmen's Hospital Sunday Committee was held last night, Mr. Janson presiding. The fact' that no representative of tho Hospital Trustees had been present at any of tile meetings was strongly commented on. Mrs. T. W. Hislop wroto stating that a meeting would be hold at the Town Hall oil Monday next, at 5 p.m., for the purpose of organising a ladies' committee to carry out the work of collecting'oil the Saturday preceding Sunday, December 8, tho dato of the annual demonstration. It' was, • the writer said, anticipated that a large number would volunteer their services. Members of the Committee pointed out that it luid been decided to collect on Saturday as well as on Sunday. On the Saturday, members of the Wellington Navals will .assist, in the work of collecting, and the Mission Band will play selections. It was reported that it had been decided at a meeting of Petone, residents, held that day, that a separate demonstration should be held in that suburb, and that February 12 had been fixed as tho dato. However, fcho local bands would assist at tho Wellington demonstration. It was decided that each band play a selection at tho Basin Reserve on Hospital Sunday, and that tho massod bands play a maroli. afterwards. Tho secretary was instructed to write asking His Excellency the Governor, the Chief Justice, the Premier, and the Mayor to inako brief speeches at tho Reserve on tho afternoon of tho demonstration.
