AN AUCKLAND ORATORIO.
(DT TELEGRAPH —PRE6S ASSOCIATION.) Auckland) November 20. "Tho Nativity," a new oratorio'composca by Dr. W. IS. Thomas, of Auckland, was performed by tho Auckland Choral Society last night, and was an immense success. The large audicnco displayed the utmost enthusiasm. Professor Thomas was twice called, and at tho ond of tho performance the audionce, standing, cheered. A leading critic says l, the oratorio, both in verse and music, contains all the . elements necessary to make it one of tho standard works for performance.
