Dr. Moncuro Daniel Conway was born in Virginia in 18.12, and was educated a't Dickonson College, Pennsylvania. For some time he studied law, and in 1850 he entered the Weslfcyan Ministry, lmt lie subsequently joined the Unitarians. Ho was an ardent advocat# of the orivmciimtion of the slaves, and Inter on tamo to (no front as a journalist. 110 pubuished numerous books between the years 1857 and JfiOt, including "Tracts for Today," "The Earthward Pilgrimage," "Thomas Carlyle," and "Thomas Paine," also an autobiography.
