Some amusement was derived at the meeting of the Eketahima Poultry Association on Saturday night (says our Eketahuna correspondent) over the fact that several of the judges' names submitted as approved of by the North Island Poultry Association, were gentlemen who had been disqualified for having identified themselves with the Manawatu winter show. Several prominent poultry fanciers of tho Eketahuna district nave determined not to exhibit at any Society affiliated with the North Island Poultry Association whilst that body continues to uphold the_ disqualifications placed on fanciers who exhibited at the last Manawatn winter .show. Tho Eketahuna Poultry Association has instructed its delegate attending the meeting of the North Island Poultry Association at Hawera on Wednesday to give notico of his intention to movo at the next meeting "that tho disqualifications placed on thoso Fanciers who exhibited at and identified themsolves with tho Manawatu winter show bo' removed." The North Island Egg-Lacing Competition Association, Limited, is inviting applications for pens for its. second competition to be held at Cambridge; conipiencing on May 16, 1908. The prizo r money has Veen increased to £75, and distinct tests will be made of the light or non-sitting breeds and the heavy or sitting .breeds. ..
