LEFT-HANDED LOBSTERS.
The most interesting subject discussedat tho conference of tho Sanitary Inspectors Astnciation Llandudno was a pjiper by J.lr. j. Boherts, inspector of tli© Fishmongers' Company, on "Marketable Shellfish." Sir J. Crichton-Browae, tlio president took part in the discussion that followed the paper, and sriid.cven Mr. Roberts uid not know one thing about lobsters that had been discovered by himself lately. 'It was tlint lobsters, like human beings, wero right-handed and loft-handed. Tho right claw of the creature was its right hand, and was armed with sharp teeth, wheras tho left chiw li'id teeth which were, short and blunt.
\Yhile that arrangement of tho l.eelh was tho case with about 06 per cent, of the. lobsters, there were about 2 or 3 per cent., at any rate, in which the condition wns reversed, and tho sharp teeth wore on tho left side ami tho blunt teeth on the right. That was just exactly the proportion of left-handed persons among human beings.
