THE BABIES' HOTEL.
In cue of the many beautiful squares in tho West End of London is a uniqiio institution, known as "Tho Uabics' Hotel," where children, whose parents have no London home, or who are compelled to live out of England for a time, are placed for the day, or by tho year. Tho house is arranged for the reception of little ones from one month old up to seven or eight years, and is intended as such for the children of Indian officers, and others on foreign service, or guardians, or trusties, or parents who desire a temporary homo for their small offspring while thoy.

Four special rooms, under the exclusive control of a head nurse, four charge nurses, ar.d two students acting as undor-nurses, nro set apart for infants under four, five, and six months old, but tho greater part of the establishment is devoted to suites of two rooms each, containing a model family of three children of varying ages, who are under a charge nurse and an undor-nursc. They wear their own clothes, and amusements of all kinds are provided for them. Only children of good social connections arc admitted, and there is no attempt at making it a cheap honio. Tho fee for babies under three months old ■« two-guineas per week, and older children tro charged from thirty shillings to two guineas. These'prices do not include clothes which, if height by the proprietors of the establishment, cost from £4 to £30 per year. In t'o summer the little residents are transferred to a seaside abode, and for this no extra charge is mado beyond fifteen shillings to covor incidental expenses.. The hotel is extensively patronised by Americans, who leave their children whilst touring over the Contmont.
