ENTERTAINMENTS.
OPERA HOUSE. The programme presented to patrona of , tho Opera House last night was of except tional morit. The splendid film. "Robbery IJnder Arms," constituted tlie chief attraction, with the Alpine masterpiece, "Lost in the Alps," a close second. Miss Lorraine Tansley was in excellent voice, and had a good reception. ' The public are reminded of the matinee this afternoon, when "Robbery Under Arms" will be given, and repeated' in the evening. The entertainment this evening conclndcs tho season; THEATRE ROYAL. ' Messrs. Fuller have the admirable faculty of striking the popular fancy. Their programmes are full of variety, arid run the ontirc gamut of human emotions. The entertainment last night was highly successful, and the house was well filled in all parts; Tlioro will bo a completo change of programme to-morrow, when . the Musical Chromes, bell-ringers, will make' theix first appearance in Now Zealand. • WONDERLAND.An especial attraction is offered the publio in search for recreation in the pleasure grounds at Miramar known as "Wonderland" this afternoon and evening. The initial difficulties natural in commencing operation* on such a largo scale have 'all been removed, and everything is now working smoothly. There will be nights on the water-chute, races on the toboggan slide, fun on tho helterskelter, and weird sensations to be derived from the gruesome Katzenjammer Caetlo. A band will be in attendance and afternoon tea will be provided at. town rates. N|> charge for admission will be made to the grounds this afternoon, and the management announce that the lighting of "Wonderland" in the evening Will be all that can be de-' sired. Sh- Joseph and Lady Ward have been among the numerous visitors this'week to "Wonderland." \ ' ■ '
THE MISSIONS TO SEAMEN. There was a largo attendance of sailora at the Missions to Sieamen list night, when the weekly ambulance meeting took place. Mr. Moore, the Missioner, gave, some useful information in connection witn health matters and several demonstrations, on the art or bandaging. A, most amusing competition fthe saloon fire) was won by Messrs. Bull (Mararoa) and Horsford N (Tiirakina). Mr. Bryant arranged a popular Jprogramme of music, the following contributing items:— Misses Moore, Mueller, and Messrs. Bryant, W, H. Bryant. Goudie and Bishop. Miss Levostara presided at the piario. The performers were accorded a hearty rote of thanks. . \
Mrs. M. Irvine' (nee Miss Rose .Blaney), at the request of her many friends in Wei-' lingtqn, has decided to.! give a popular. concert in the Town Hall on December ;2, for which occasion a capital programme is being arranged. 'During her residence in London Miss Blaney studied under Signor Steffani, and that distinguished teacher,.; Madam* Mina Fischer. ■ '•
