Vriuiu \jKiv The Tawaha Dairy Company (writes our Wairnrnpn correspondent) dispatched its first shipment of choose oil Friday, comprising 34 crates. The consignment was turned out 111 first-class style. Tho cheese was well finished, and everything was most clcan. One of tho milk suppliers to tlio Tawalia dairy factory, is Niniwa, a .well-known and wealthy Native. She has a herd of fifty cows, and tlie milk is described as being as good as any that comes to tho factory. It may ho explained that Niniwa employs a Pakelia manager. Tho first shipment of cheese turned out by tho Otaraia Dairy Company has been awarded first grade. 1 Messrs. Parker Bros., of Tawalia, have_a herd of twenty-five cows, which supply 870 gallons of milk weekly on a 3.5 test. Last year tho same herd supplied 1000 gallons weekly on tho samo.test. Tho Apiti correspondent of the "Feilding Star " says grass has mado wonderful growth during fortnight, and made glad ■tho .hearts of tho milk suppliers. Shearing is, in full swing, and tho clips seem to be fairly heavy.
