ENTERTAINMENTS.

THEATRE ROYAL. Late-comers at the Theatre Royal last night had to be content with standing room. The principal attraction continues to do this oxcellent example of cinematography, the picture of the fight between Squires and Burns for tho championship of tho world. Messrs. Morris and Wilson aro a particularly successful pair. Zemphy, tho lightning sketch artist, Mr. Harry Linden, the witty comic; Miss Ida Borridgo, the popular comedienne: Mr. A. L. Cropp, basso, and Mr. R. H. Collins, tenor, were very popular last night. Tho Valdencs, trick cyclists, wore in excellent form ahd scored a big success. The amusing farce, "Fun in tho Kitchen," with the Qucalys in their clover personations of the character-roles, is a genuino side-splitter. Notice must also bo given to Mr. Will Gilbert, Delavalo Ern, and Master Christie.

araiAHON'S" pictures. The fine collection of cinematographic films presontcd to tho public by Messrs. Al'Malion marks a high standard of development in moving pictures. Tho selection is a varied one, and appeals to every variety of human omotion. The uproarious picture-comedy, " They Would Play Cards," was repeated by special request last night. Miss Lorrnino Tansloy, contralto, was well received, tho vivid illustrations accompanying her singing assisting to produco an excellent item.

"JULIUS C/ESAR." To-morrow evening tho Wellington Shakespeare Club is to conclude tho season's study with a public reading of "Julius Ctesar."
