ST. MARY'S GUILD.
Thei monthly meeting- of St. Mary's Guild Kas held yesterday morning, Mrs. Wallis presiding. Regret was-expressed that'this was the last meeting which would bo attended by Mrs. Wallis for a year, and by wii- , Tanner for two years. Mrs. Wallis spoke of- tho necessity of raising money to pay off-£IOO from the trust fund tp ■ se " £l a m su m home to enable Mrs. Wallis 'and Mrs. Tanner to select goods in England for the bazaar in 1909. It was (reported that a deaconess, Miss Bostock, had been appointed to work in Wellington. Miss Upstock is an English lady, and Mrs. Wallig. and Mrs. Tanner will meet her in England, alter which she will proceed to New Zealand arriving about the beginning of the year. . ihe members of ,tho- Guild 'are giving a farewell tea to Mrsf Wallis and Mrs. Tanner at Mrs. Duncan's- house in Hobson Street on Jbnday morning. ■
