Thei monthly meeting- of St. Mary's Guild Kas held yesterday morning, Mrs. Wallis presiding. Regret was-expressed that'this was the last meeting which would bo attended by Mrs. Wallis for a year, and by wii- , Tanner for two years. It was (reported that a deaconess, Miss Bostock, had been appointed to work in Wellington. Miss Upstock is an English lady, and Mrs. Wallig. and Mrs. Tanner will meet her in England, alter which she will proceed to New Zealand arriving about the beginning of the year. . ihe members of ,tho- Guild 'are giving a farewell tea to Mrsf Wallis and Mrs. Tanner at Mrs. Duncan's- house in Hobson Street on Jbnday morning. ■
