TERRACE SUNDAY SCHOOL.

• SIXTY-TIUKD 'ANNIVERSARY. The services, in connection with the sixty, third anniversary, of the Terrace Congregational Sunday School were continued last night. The proceedings opened with a tea meeting) which was very largely attended. Afterwards a public niceting: was'held, the Rev. J. Reed Glasson presiding. Amongst those on tho platform wore the Itovs. W r . A. Evans, \Y. A. Keay. M. Asplaml, and the .Superintendent, Mr. F. Meadowcraft. The ministers present gave brief congratulatory addresses, and Miss Kvans, the Scliool Visitor, outlined the work contemplated for, thu coming year. An enjoyable feature of the' evening 'from a musical point of view was the repetition, of the anniversary hymns, under tho baton of Mr. \V. J, Liinkshear. The scholars were assisted by a very efficient orchestra; Mr. Fred Lanksliear ably presiding at the organ. , The Superintendent's report stated that this Sunday school roll at the beginning of the year was •'.*!; since then' 32 were admitted, and 3:1 written'off. leaving a total, at the close of the year, of-8.1: -The average attendance was 63. There were 1! teachers, with an average attendance of 1.1;.,,. Officers were elected as follows : —Superintendent ami Treasurer,-< Mr- F. Mcadowcroft; Deputy-Superintendent, 'Mr.' w) J.'Lankshear; Secretary, Mr. D. Macklin, Assistant Secretary, Mr. K. lanksliear; Minute Secretary and Organist,. Mr. F. Lanksliear; Librarian, Mr. J. It. Dean. The ■Librarian's report showed that sixty-one books had been added during the year. The finances were reported to be in , a satisfactory state, , the credit- balance on: the general account being £6 4s. sd. The sum of X 24 His. was reserved for missions.
