Nowtown defeated Y.M.C.A. by an innings and 25 runs. Nowtowii made 116 in tlicir first innings, and Y.M.C.A. made 63. Y.M.C.A. were sent in again, and were disposed of for 2S. Old Boys defeated Midland by 12 runs on tlie first innings. Old Boys' first innings 143. iWidland, with one wicket down for 75, resumed batting, and were all out for 131 (Manson 41; Wilkinson .15, Clinkard 16)., Lomax (7 for 54) and M'Gowan (3 for 36) bowled best for Old Boys, who made 124 in their second innings (Wilson 27, Mason, not out, 22, Goldfinch 20, M'Lean 19, B. L. Salmon 12), Renncr (4 for 47), Wighton (2 for 34) bowled well for Midland, who had snored 2'! for 2 wickets when time was called (Wilkinson, not out, 11, Manson 10). M'Gowan captured the two wickets for i runs. . Wellington A defeated Victoria"College by 1.1 runs o:i the first innings. The scores lii the second innings wore- Victoria College, 106 (O'Lcai'y 31, MacDougall 14, Miller 13); Wellington, S7 for 7 wickets (O'Shca 30, Poarce 15, Polan 14). The Phoanix-Wcliington College match resulted in a win for-Phoenix on the first innings. THIRD-CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP. . College 13 defeated .Thorndon by an innings and 85 runs. The College noys made 2G5 in their first innings, and Thorndon made 31 and; 149; -Faul 41, Duff 37, Guise 20, Thompson 23, Council 13. Midland defeated Wellington College A by S wickets. Good Templars defeated-St. Patrick's Collego by 4 wickets. The College hoys made .55 in their second innings, to which total Dorp contributed 10. , ' ' Karori defeated St. John's by an innings and 152. St. John's only scored 16 and 26 runs in the two innings. Spiers (4 for 7) and Hill (5 for 18) dismissed St. John's in their second innings. ; FOURTH-CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP. Karori, 48 and 92 for 4 (declared), defeated Good Templars, '49 and 38, by 53 runs. M'Carthy (5 for 20) and Kane (3'for 17) secured the wickets in Good Templars' second innings. : ,
