A considerable number of candidates were unable to present themselves on: account of influenza. Tho oxaminer, Mr. Richard, CummingS, stated that the standard\of the work as a whole in AYellington..is highly creditablo, and that tho higher grades arc better, than the lower. The work; he considered, .isjn overv way quite equal to that presented at tho English centres, where he has had. many years' experience. In sight-readme and knowledge of theory, however, ho found some weakness, but this is usual even in.England.
