Tho Association,is dclightoi with this measure of success, resultant from a second appeal, but is still impressed with tho necessity of opening its new building on March 31 next free of dobt. For 'this purpose members pledgejl themselves, at an informal gathering hold last night, to continue" tho canvass quiotly and' informally until their object is achieved. Messrs . Pierce and Gillundors leave for '■ Australia by the Miihcno to-morrow.. They will attend conferences in Sydney, Brisbane, arid Adelaide, and open a campaign for £8000 at Broken Hill. On December 5 Mr. Pierce will leave Australia, Mr. Gillanders continuing at Melbourne ns national secretary, tp V which office ho has jtist been/promoted from that of assistant national'secretary/ by,the unanimous yoto of the National Committee of Australia and Noir Zealand.
