Vance (lion, secretary).. • The Canterbury Thursday Union wrote mvit'n" the Wellington Association to send a sccoiul-grado team to . Canterbury tins season to play tho Canterbury Thursday representatives, with a view to making the fixture an annual one if possible. It wi-s decided that the request could not bo met, but in replying tho secretary. was instructed to suggest that the letter should bo handed on to the Wellington Wednesday Association, who, it was stated, would probably be glad to fall in with tho proposal. ■ ~,..„ ,„, , A letter was received from the Midland Club stating that they would bo unable to enter a tci.lll'tor tho Fourth Class Championship. . Air. Luckie, who was appointed to tho Third Class Championship Committee, recently wrote statin'.; that ho was unable to accept tho position. The election of a successor was left over until next meeting. ~, , Ir, was decided to . communicate with • tho Auckland Association to see if a match could be arranged between the Auckland and Wellington representatives when tho northern team is on its southern tour. It was resolved to offor the Auckland Association 20 per cent, of the net gate. It was decided to ask the Canterbury team to play the AVollington representatives at Wellington, on January 1, 2, and 3. . •
