Tho Shaw, Saviil Company's new steamer Kia Ora is fixed to leave Lundon on Januarv 1, for Port Chalmers direct. As she is a "repeat order" of the hue steamer Matatua, those familiar with the latter vessel can form a good idea of the Kia Ora, whoso dimensions are as follow:—Net registered tonnage, .J. 178length, -JlSft.; breadth, sGft. 2in.; depth, 33ft, (i*in.; and she will bo able to stow away fJS.OOO carcases of miiHon and 10,500 bales of wuol under her hatches. She will be provided with twin screws, and is expected to make the trip from tho Dominion to London in 'forty-one or forty-two days.
