' Famous reliquary worth £8000, stolen from a 'church at Ambazac, was'.traccd to London, owing to • Thomas's . portfolio (containing a receipt) being found in tho Soino. The French Government demand restitution of the reliquary. '■ A Paris dealer in antiquities confessed that he purchased many rare treasure's- from Thomas.- Surrendered relics included a finger of St. Louis, stolen from, a church at Passy. French detectives have .secured, many, letters •addressed-to Parisian dealer's in antiquities by persons purporting to be secularised monks, stating that, foariiig impending ruin 'owing to tho ppvernment's' policy, they de-sired-to'sell the ohurch treasures, substituing imitations..
