'.. THE WINNERS. By Telegraph.—Association.—Copyright. London, October 9. There wore 125 entries nof colonial butter at tho Royal Dairy Show. The .first prize for salted butter was awarded to the Downs Co-opora- , tive Factory, Queonsland, tho second to the Framlinp,ham Factory, Victoria, and the third to tho North Coast Cooperative Factory, Now South Wales. ~ For unsalted butter tho first prize went to the North Westphalian Fac'tbry, South Australia, .the second to tho' ; Warrnambool Factory, and the third to the West Sandford Factory, South' Australia. A highly commended exhibit was that of the Norsowood Factory, New Zealand ■'. Norsowood is about four miles from Ormondville, in Hawke's Bay. The • Norsewood Dairy Factory Company is *" ono of our oldest established - concern;;, but new factory 'premises were built about threo years ago. The factory has always had a reputation for making good butter. It is one of the factories that contemplate discontinuing the manufacture of butter (except a Bmall quantity for local sale), and making cheeso instead.
