PICNIC SANDWICH FILLINGS
Holiday times mean an increase in sandwich making—for picnics, afternoon teas, and suppers. Here are a dozen “different” sandwich fillings you and your guests will appreciate. 1. Minced tongue and pickles. 2. Lobster paste, mixed with mayonnaise. 3. Hard-boiled egg yolks mixed into a paste with bloater, anchovy or shrimp pastes, cheese, chutney, or sauce. - - 4. Minced cooked liver and bacon mixed with tomato, or Worcestershire sauce. 5. Egg and gherkins. 0. Curry and egg. 7. Brains and walnuts. 8. Rabbit and bacin. Or chicken and ham. 9. Mashed asparagus and mayonnaise. 10. Chopped ginger (or raisins) and nuts. 11. Chopped apple and celery. 12. Mashed banana with lemon juice and sugar.
